Sansouci TerminalThe Sansouci Terminal is the second cruise ship terminal for the Port of Santo Domingo and the most modern in the Caribbean.
It is located on the east side of the city and allow the arrival of cruise ships high-capacity, low-mode terminal operating as Puerto Mother (Homeport), allowing passengers change, immigration and baggage handling.

It offers all the facilities for the care of a large passenger flow efficiently and safely.


Facilities
The modern building has a fairly large structure of about 11,000 m2 on three levels that will be distributed with the following facilities:

1st Level

  • 7.000 m2, where the passenger screening area, baggage handling and the offices of tourist terminal operations.

2nd Level

  • Mezzanine 3.000 m2, in which they develop migration activities. Spaces for tents zone, bathrooms and other facilities, allowing a visual interest to the first level of the terminal and tour of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo.

3rd Level

  • Gateway approximately 1,000 m2, which runs through the building and communicates with the cruise through a boarding bridge for loading and unloading of passengers (gangway), ensuring the safety and security of tourists.

The Sansouci Terminal will have the capacity to handle about 3,800 passengers at a time, in addition to the crew, taking as an essential part of its design, flexible spaces, lighting and architectural relationship with the Colonial City of Santo Domingo.

The Sansouci Terminal account within its facilities with:

  • Large areas for containers, cargo handling and unloading of luggage.
  • Areas accessible to visitors parking lots.
  • Exterior lighting system and perimeter.
  • Port security systems, such as cameras and security screens.
  • Modern fire prevention system.
